Hello,
My name is Melissa Kelley. I am a widow, mother of two beautiful girls and have worked as an MRI technologist for over 22 years. I am also the 2009 WNBF Figure Pro World Champion.
 Growing up I was no athlete I was a High School band geak...lol. So when my late husband bought me a gift certificate for a local personal trainer session neither one of us new it would be life changing for me. I saw immediate results working with my training. I started loosing my fat and replacing it with hard earned muscle. I loved it! At the time my daughter were 7 and 5 years. Working out gave me new found inner and outer strength to enjoy my family. There was no going back to the old me. I decided to enter my first Figure competion. figure competition is a class of physique-exhibition events for women; while bearing a close resemblance to female bodybuilding, it emphasizes muscle tone overmuscle size.I stepped out onto the INBF Figure stage for the first time the spring of 2005 and won my pro card fall of 2005. Since then winning many WNBF Titles including 2009 WNBF (short class) World Champion.
2005 was yes...an amazing year. But, with all the dieting and hard training for my competitions came the reduction of my upper womanly curves...yes...my chest turned into a pancake if I may say. Growing up I was a size A/B cup and after two children and breast feeding ...they became even smaller. I felt amazed that I could train hard and enjoy working on developing muscle all over my body but felt unwomanly for the loss of body fat to my breasts.
I decided to look into breast augmentation. Being an MRI technologist for many years I wanted the implants under the muscle, making it much easier for the mammo technologist to obtain xrays needed for future yearly screenings. As well as the appearance of the implants under the muscle looks very natural. I did my needed research which brought me to Dr. Rick Silverman who specializes in under the muscle implants and has great experience in Figure and body building women over the years.
It was really hard to tell how big or type of implant to use. That's when Dr Rick’s consult educated me. He explained all the options and then we took it home to discuse it between my husband and I to think about what I was looking for in my "new look". I choose Mentor saline-filled implants filled to 375 cc.
I was very happy with the results. I enhanced my physique keeping it very natural looking. Many people today don't even know I had breast aumentation. My Breast size, shape and symmetry was perfect!
Dr. Rick was very skilled in deciding the best options for me as well as carrying out the surgery. My recovery time was right on track. Five months later stepping out onto the Figure stage taking runner up in my first WNBF Pro Show!
I was very happy with the results of my breast augmentation
and five years later all I can think is that I wish I'd done it sooner.
